Participants can mute / unmute themselves in a Zoom session. However, as the host, you can assist:

  • Select the Manage Participants button in the toolbar. Here you will find a list of all participants in your session.
  • To mute/unmute a specific individual: Find the student’s name in your list. To the right of their name, click More and you can mute/unmute their microphone.
  • To mute/unmute everyone: click the Mute All/Unmute All button at the bottom of the Participants window. This will affect the host who clicks the button, and it will also affect any other co-hosts and attendees.
