About Let's Talk About Teaching (LTAT)

UVic’s LTAT events create a space for peer-to-peer conversations on current pedagogical trends and innovative teaching practices to enhance student learning.

This year's focus

The Fall 2024 LTAT event will include a multi-access series of presentations on Friday, November 22, 2024 highlighting teaching innovation at the University of Victoria. 

Year over year LTAT highlights UVic educators who are leading the way in implementing innovative teaching practices in their courses and creating dynamic learning experiences for students.

Registration will open on Friday, November 1, 2024.

Virtual and in person

This year's format

Discover Sessions (45 minutes)

Longer-form sessions where facilitators and participants investigate a particular topic. 

Lightning Talks (10 minutes)

Short-form talks to showcase a teaching strategy, innovative idea, personal experience, piece of advice, research finding, etc. Lighting talks are grouped by theme with the goal of sparking conversations and connections.
