Experiential Learning Fund Grant

(previously the Community-Engaged Learning Grant)

Up to $7,500 – Visit here for more information and the next deadline

The Experiential Learning Fund Grants are for instructors to develop and redevelop experiential learning. They are an expansion of the previous Community-Engaged Learning Grant and aim to:

  1. increase opportunities for students to participate in experiential learning
  2. build capacity for experiential learning at UVic

The Experiential Learning Fund supports a suite of grants: the Community-Engaged Learning (CEL) Grant, Research-Enriched Teaching Grant, and Field-Based Learning Grant, as well as the CEL Emergent Activities Fund.

CEL Emergent Activities Fund

Up to $250 – Rolling deadline

Instructors across UVic partner with community to deliver enhanced learning experiences that contribute to community endeavours. The CEL Emergent Activities Fund facilitates reciprocal relationships with community partners and supports learning by contributing up to $250 per CEL experience to basic costs such as community partner honoraria, transportation, and printing. This in turn supports the accessibility and availability of meaningful and impactful CEL experiences by removing some of the barriers of successful delivery.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • UVic instructors, including sessionals, practicum coordinators and lab instructors
  • Not yet received support from this fund for this academic year
  • Not yet received support from this fund for this same element of this same CEL endeavour
