About the workshop

Important

To participate in this workshop you will need to sign up for an Office 365 account at least 48 hours in advance of the workshop. This account is necessary to access the MS Teams demonstration site. To sign up for an account (or check if you already have one) go to onlineservices.uvic.ca.

Format

This workshop is for anyone interested in using MS Teams as part of a course or learning experience. The session will provide a brief overview of the main functions of MS Teams and will provide participants an opportunity to explore a demonstration site and try out some features of the tool.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session, you will:

  • Be aware of the main differences between MS Teams and other online tools;
  • Practice logging in to Teams and accessing a Teams site;
  • Explore key features of Teams including channels, chat, video calls, and document editing/sharing.
