What is the waiting room in Zoom? Should I admit guests?

Home » Help » Instructor Help » What is the waiting room in Zoom? Should I admit guests?

Users who are not signed in to UVic Zoom show up in the “Waiting Room” for your Zoom session. It is not recommended to admit guests unless you know their identity (e.g. a guest speaker you are expecting).  Students who are signed in with SSO and who have activated their accounts at uvic.zoom.us will join your session without having to go to the waiting room first.
