How Do I Get Organized in Teams?

Help, Teams

You can think of Teams as having three big parts:

  • Me Space: Your vertical left side bar in teams is the “Me” space. It includes options to see your activity feed across all your teams like My Activity (filterable by class, by person, etc.) and the different teams (groups) you belong to.
  • We Space: Once you enter a team, the We Space (horizontally across the top) is your main menu for participating in that space: for example, the Posts tab for all the messages in this channel; the Files tab to store all the files shared in this channel; the Class Notebook tab; the Assignments tab for creating assignments; the Grades tab for tracking student progress and grading.
  • Channels: Each team consists of channels that organize all the conversation, files, and apps. Every team starts with a General Channel, but you can add more and dedicate them for any purpose you want including weekly topics or units, projects, competencies, and more.
