How can I improve the security of a quiz in Brightspace?

Home » Learning Technologies » Brightspace » How can I improve the security of a quiz in Brightspace?

There are currently two ways to adjust your Brightspace quiz security against unwanted access:

    1. Password: You may set a password that you provide to your students so that only those with the password may access the quiz.
    2. IP Address: You can limit access to the quiz based on a range of IP addresses.

Instructors can input a password so only users with the password can access the quiz; they can also restrict IP ranges so only those with certain IP addresses can access the quiz.

How to Navigate to Optional Advanced Restrictions?

    1. Navigate to Course Tools > Quiz, and click on the quiz you want to add security to.
    2. Go to the Restrictions tab, scroll down to Optional Advanced Restrictions, then click Expand optional advanced restrictions to enter a password or restrict IP address range by clicking the Add new IP Range button.
