What is Brightspace?

UVic has adopted Brightspace by D2L as our new learning management system (LMS). Brightspace replaced CourseSpaces in Fall 2020 as UVic’s central hub for teaching and learning.  Active instructors and staff can access Brightspace at https://bright.uvic.ca.

Brightspace can be used for:

  • Class communication and announcements
  • Sharing course materials (text, multimedia, links, and files)
  • Assignments and quizzes
  • Learning activities and class discussion
