How do you set up an assignment to allow for group submissions?
When making a new assignment, select Group Submission under the Assignment type header. Then choose the group category with the desired class groups and attach a group grade item.
How do you give different grades to different group members?
Once you have evaluated the assignment as a group, navigate to the Grades tab, click Enter Grades in the dropdown menu beside the assignment, and change individual grades.
How do instructors ensure that students can view only their own grade for the group assignment?
Students will not be able to see other group members’ grades but will see the feedback given to the group.
Hypothetical Situation: You received an exemplary group assignment from two students, Connor and Casey, and gave it 100%. But then in the team feedback survey, Casey talks about having done all the research and writing. Since it is a group assignment, you can’t go into the assignment itself and change the mark to affect just one student, instead you must navigate to the Gradebook
