Please follow the below steps when creating and organizing quizzes into categories.
1. Create a quiz category:
Course Tools > Quizzes > Manage Quizzes > Edit Categories
Add Category > Enter a name into the Name field > Save
2. Edit a quiz category: Course Tools > Quizzes > Manage Quizzes > Edit Categories > Save.
Note: You can make changes to category names by editing the Name field.
3. Reorder categories: Course Tools > Quizzes > Manage Quizzes > Edit Categories.
You can change the order of categories that display on the Quizzes List page by changing the values in “Sort Order” (On the right) > Save and Close
Example- If I want ”In Class Quizzes” to appear first (1) and ”Peer Evaluation – Group Projects” to appear second (2) in the category list.
a. Course Tools > Quizzes > Manage Quizzes > Edit Categories > Sort Order by entering 1 for the quiz you want to appear first, 2 beside the one after that, and vice versa.
b. Check the box(es) next to the quiz category(ies) you would like to delete > Trash icon
4. Putting quizzes into categories
Once the categories have been built, we can now put the different quizzes into categories.
a. Course Tools > Quizzes > Manage Quizzes > Drop down menu next to the quiz you would like to add to a category to > Edit >
b. Under Category > Choose the desired category (or create a new category) > Save and Close.
5. Browse quizzes by category: Course Tools > Quizzes > Manage Quizzes > View by Category > Apply
