How do I create Crowdmark assessments in Brightspace?

To create a Crowdmark assessment you can do the following:

  1. Log in to Brightspace.
  2. Go to your course page.
  3. In the drop-down menu for Course Tools in the navigation bar, select Crowdmark.Screenshot of the Course Tools drop down menu which highlights the location of the Crowdmark tab (at the bottom of the drop down menu)

  5. Using the create assessment button, select New AssessmentScreenshot of the create assessment drop down menu. The options under create assessment are: new assessment and duplicate assessment
  6. Name your new Crowdmark AssessmentScreenshot of the create an assessment window. Within it, you can add the assessment name, and customize the student lost and instructional team members who will be able to view and edit the assessment
  7. Under Students, you can also choose to make the assessment available to all enrolled students or you can choose to exclude some students (who might write the assessment later for instance).Screenshot of the student window.   8. Under Instructional Team, select the team members you want to be part of the assignment (Graders). The instructor is included by default.Screenshot of the student window. You can chose for the assessment to be available to selected members of the instructional team. The options to choose from are: all team members, instructors, graders, or custom.
  9. In the ensuing page, select AssignedScreenshot of the assessment types you can create. You can choose between an administered assessment, an assessment monitored in person who will print and administer the assessment which will then be scanned and uploaded, or an assigned assessment, an assessment that's completed independently where the student will be emailed the assessment and they must scan and upload their completed assessment.
  10. Set the due date, apply a lateness penalty (per minute, hour, or day, in 1% increments). You can also time the assessment.   11. In the subsequent window, add a description, your questions and determine for score for each.
