How do I join a community or resource site?

There are several community and resource sites (e.g., training, clubs, others) available to everyone in Brightspace.  

To self-register or request registration in one of these sites, simply follow these steps: 

  1. Log into Brightspace with your Netlink ID and passphrase. 
  2. At the main “Welcome Page”, click on Discover in the navbar at the top of the page. 
  3. From the list that shows, click on the course / site you would like to join.
  4. Click the blue “Enroll in Course” button.

You will receive a confirmation that you have been successfully enrolled and they will soon be available in the My Courses widget on the main Brightspace page. Please be advised this is a UVic-wide community site. Membership and interactions are visible to fellow members.
